Exemples pratiques de reconnaissance des bois à l'échelle macroscopique
Marie-Christine Trouy explique comment reconnaître les différentes familles et espèces d'arbres en observant l'aspect et le caractère d'échantillons de bois. Leur analyse détaillée et nourrie d'un vocabulaire spécialisé permet de faire la distinction entre différents résineux et feuillus. Les essences rencontrées sont les suivantes. Pour les résineux : mélèze, sapin, épicéa, pin sylvestre, pin maritime, Douglas. Pour les feuillus : chêne, chêne blanc, chêne rouge d'Amérique, orme, robinier, frêne, frêne olivier, hêtre, noyer, aulne, merisier, peuplier, érable sycomore, charme et tilleul. Filles et Mathématiques
La sous-représentation des femmes dans les filières scientifiques, filières parmi les plus prestigieuses et les plus rémunératrices, est un fait incontestable. Pourtant, elle est encore mal comprise. Nous tenterons de présenter une synthèse de travaux récents sur le genre éclairant cette situation. À la lumière de ces résultats, l'objectif est de dégager des axes de politique publique pertinents et efficaces pour réduire le «gender gap». L'enjeu est double : non seulement faire disparaître des inégalités de genre injustes et bien évidemment contraire aux principes républicains, mais aussi faire en sorte que nos sociétés soient en mesure de mobiliser au mieux toutes les compétences. -

La proportion d’individus en situation de handicap dans le monde s’élèverait à environ 15% (OMS et Banque Mondiale, 2011). Or, parce qu’elle affecte substantiellement le développement économique et social (Albrecht, 2014), la question du handicap ne saurait s’affranchir d’une compréhension en profondeur des pratiques et expériences de consommation des individus, et ce, quelle que soit la nature de leur déficience. Depuis leur développement au cours des années 1970, les travaux établissant la jonction entre handicap et consommation n’ont eu cesse d’occuper une place croissante dans le paysage académique international. En témoignent des recherches récentes en comportement du consommateur (e.g. Beudaert, Gorge et Herbert, 2017 ; Dubost, 2018 ; Nau, Derbaix et Thévenot, 2016), ou encore la parution d’un numéro spécial d’ALTER European Journal of Disability Research en 2014. Toutefois, comme l’ont constaté Nau et al. (2016), nombreux sont les travaux qui demeurent relativement descriptifs. Ceux-ci décryptent par exemple les barrières à l’accès inhérentes aux environnements commerciaux et évaluent conjointement l’efficacité des cadres législatifs en vigueur (e.g. Kaufman-Scarborough et Baker, 2005 ; Yu, Tullio-Pow et Akhtar, 2015). Or, en dépit de leur utilité indéniable pour les praticiens, ces travaux tendent à présenter un faible ancrage théorique. De surcroît, ceux-ci s’inscrivent généralement dans le modèle social du handicap, lequel fait pourtant l’objet de vives critiques en raison de sa prise en compte insuffisante de l’expérience subjective de déficience (voir, par exemple, Anastasiou et Kauffman, 2013 ; Shakespeare et Watson, 2001).
