Gènes sans gêne - Teaser du Mooc
Tous les organismes vivants doivent pouvoir s’adapter aux conditions de leur environnement. Pour cela, leurs cellules doivent contrôler l’expression de leurs gènes pour disposer des protéines dont elles ont précisément besoin à cet instant. Leur capacité d’adaptation dépend donc largement de l’expression des informations codées dans leur génome. Des individus peuvent alors montrer une sensibilité particulière à certaines conditions, ce qui peut conduire aux diverses problématiques complexes de santé, d’environnement et d’agronomie que notre société doit résoudre. Ils sont cinq enseignants-chercheurs en biochimie et biologie à vous inviter à une plongée passionnante au niveau moléculaire, pour y découvrir la formidable organisation des nombreux acteurs au service de la vie de nos cellules. Thierry Oster, Athanase Visvikis, Bérenice Schaerlinger, Hélène Dubois-Pot-Schneider et Christophe Jacob, Professeurs et Maîtres de conférences à l'Université de Lorraine ont comme objectif général de vous faire comprendre comment les cellules sont capables d’interpréter les informations génétiques pour fabriquer les protéines nécessaires à leur bon fonctionnement. Ce Mooc d'une durée pédagogique de 8 heures est construit selon 5 champs d'étude portant sur : 1/ les gènes des protéines ; 2/ la transcription et maturation des ARN ; 3/ la biosynthèse des protéines ; 4/ la régulation de l'expression des gènes ; 5/ les technologies liées à l'ADN. Le Mooc "Gènes sans gêne" a été produit en 2017 par l'Université de Lorraine et diffusé pour la première fois sur France Université Numérique - FUN, du 18 septembre 2017 au 6 novembre 2017. -

La proportion d’individus en situation de handicap dans le monde s’élèverait à environ 15% (OMS et Banque Mondiale, 2011). Or, parce qu’elle affecte substantiellement le développement économique et social (Albrecht, 2014), la question du handicap ne saurait s’affranchir d’une compréhension en profondeur des pratiques et expériences de consommation des individus, et ce, quelle que soit la nature de leur déficience. Depuis leur développement au cours des années 1970, les travaux établissant la jonction entre handicap et consommation n’ont eu cesse d’occuper une place croissante dans le paysage académique international. En témoignent des recherches récentes en comportement du consommateur (e.g. Beudaert, Gorge et Herbert, 2017 ; Dubost, 2018 ; Nau, Derbaix et Thévenot, 2016), ou encore la parution d’un numéro spécial d’ALTER European Journal of Disability Research en 2014. Toutefois, comme l’ont constaté Nau et al. (2016), nombreux sont les travaux qui demeurent relativement descriptifs. Ceux-ci décryptent par exemple les barrières à l’accès inhérentes aux environnements commerciaux et évaluent conjointement l’efficacité des cadres législatifs en vigueur (e.g. Kaufman-Scarborough et Baker, 2005 ; Yu, Tullio-Pow et Akhtar, 2015). Or, en dépit de leur utilité indéniable pour les praticiens, ces travaux tendent à présenter un faible ancrage théorique. De surcroît, ceux-ci s’inscrivent généralement dans le modèle social du handicap, lequel fait pourtant l’objet de vives critiques en raison de sa prise en compte insuffisante de l’expérience subjective de déficience (voir, par exemple, Anastasiou et Kauffman, 2013 ; Shakespeare et Watson, 2001). Histoire industrielle par le film / Industriegeschichte im Film
La ressource "Histoire industrielle par le film - Industriegeschichte im Film" est spécifiquement axée sur les milieux industriels de la sidérurgie, des mines de fer et de charbon dans la Grande Région. Elle s'appuie sur des extraits du patrimoine audiovisuel accompagnés de textes pédagogiques. De cette façon, elle illustre les liens économiques et humains très étroits existants entre les différentes parties de ce territoire et la nature transfrontalière de la coexistence des groupes humains dans une région au cœur de l’Europe. Son objectif est de sensibiliser les élèves, les étudiant.e.s ainsi que le public de la Grande Région à leur patrimoine industriel et leur identité commune, afin de mieux comprendre les contextes de la pratique actuelle de leur territoire. "Histoire industrielle par le film - Industriegeschichte im Film" est une production pédagogique de l’UniGR-Center for Border Studies réalisée dans le cadre du projet Interreg VA Grande Région « UniGR-CBS ». Elle a été menée par les enseignant.e.s et chercheur.e.s des universités de Liège, de Lorraine, du Luxembourg et de la Sarre. Cette ressource entièrement bilingue, en français et en allemand, est actuellement construite autour de 6 thématiques différentes, de 38 points d'entrée géolocalisés qui offrent le visionnement de 97 extraits de 41 films, ainsi que la lecture de 131 textes pédagogiques agrémentés de cartes, schémas et photographies. -

Impacts de la transition numérique sur l'orientation tout au long de la vie (partie 1)
L’utilisation du numérique pour améliorer le processus d’orientation n’est pas vraiment nouveau. Portfolios, aides à l’information, aides au diagnostic, aides à l’élaboration de projet, aides à la motivation, ressources, sont autant de tentatives de réponses logicielles aux angoisses de la projection et de l’orientation. On attend des progrès du numérique qu'ils apportent un environnement informationnel et relationnel qui va permettre à l’individu de se construire sa propre représentation pour opérer en toute autonomie les choix qui lui incombent. Mais les tendances actuelles de l’automatisation et de l’optimisation par le numérique ouvrent-t-elles la voie à des dispositifs dans lesquels la machine, décidera seule de ce qui est bon pour nous ? On peut effectivement se demander si ces dispositifs ne conditionneraient pas « discrètement » (en se soustrayant à la vue) des gestes et des attitudes tout en s’arrogeant un pouvoir de visibilité (collecte de données dans les environnements numériques, surveillance, informatique ambiante, …) Samuel NOWAKOWSKI est Maître de conférences HDR à l’université de Lorraine. Inondations et sécheresses : regards croisés pour une gestion des risques
À l'heure où la fréquence des événements climatiques extrêmes semble s'intensifier, des chercheurs de l'Université de Lorraine reconstituent le passé pour mieux comprendre notre époque. Ce film nous propose de rencontrer sur des terrains très différents les géographes Claire Delus et Vincent Ollive (LOTERR) et les historiens Laurent Litzenburger et Valentin Michel (CRULH) dont le projet commun est de collecter des informations nécessaires à l'étude des inondations et des sécheresses pour une gestion de la ressource en eau et des risques. Ainsi, l'objectif de ce projet de recherche pluridisciplinaire nommé "RECRET" est d’établir, à partir d’archives instrumentales, documentaires et sédimentaires, une chronologie des crues et des étiages qui se sont déroulés dans le bassin versant de la Moselle au cours des derniers siècles. Ce film réalisé par Jérôme Didelot en décembre 2021 est produit par l'Université de Lorraine (sous-direction des usages du numérique / production audiovisuelle et multimédia) grâce au soutien de son Conseil scientifique. -

Sabine Bruaux témoigne de son métier d'architecte en science des données et en intelligence artificielle, au sein du Ministère des Armées et évoque les aspects et enjeux de la construction d'un système IA.
